Voluntary Cleanup Programs

Mid-Atlantic is an approved Registered Environmental Consultant (REC) under the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Inactive Hazardous Sites Branch (IHSB), REC program. The IHSB, as part of the Superfund Section of the North Carolina Division of Waste Management, is responsible for oversight and approval of the assessment and remediation of many historical, and any recent, releases of hazardous substances and pollutants. Mid-Atlantic also works throughout the Southeast in other states’ voluntary cleanup programs, helping clients move through assessment, corrective action and site closure. Our services include:
