Mid-Atlantic Wins Brownfields Project with UCPCG

Mid-Atlantic was chosen by the the Upper Coastal Plains Council of Governments to help implement their recently awarded $400,000 EPA Brownfields Assessment grant. Mid-Atlantic staff helped the UCPCOG in applying for the grant and was chosen through a qualifications based selection process. The project will consist of helping the UCPCOG inventory potential Brownfields properties, conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and cleanup planning on some properties. Mid-Atlantic will also assist with community outreach efforts designed to keep the public informed and involved in building a sustainable Brownfields Program.
