Mid-Atlantic Continues To Lead in EPA Brownfield Grant Arena

Mid-Atlantic continues to be the go to firm to help municipalities find ways to put abandoned, idled and underutilized properties back into reuse. Mid-Atlantic has been chosen to work with the City of Kinston and the Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments (UCPCOG) on their recently awarded $300,000 EPA Brownfields Assessment grants. Mid-Atlantic helped both these entities apply for and receive these grants.  Kinston will actively pursue properties along Queen Street to further efforts to revitalize their downtown.  The UCPCOG will continue their successful program of helping communities across their five county region with economic development through strategic use of these funds. Mid-Atlantic staff will conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments followed up by  cleanup and redevelopment planning and future grant opportunities. We are excited to continue to help North Carolina Communities with their brownfields redevelopment efforts.
