Mid-Atlantic Awarded Five Year Contract with City of Randleman

Mid-Atlantic continues to be the go to firm to help municipalities find ways to put abandoned, idled and underutilized properties back into reuse. Mid-Atlantic was recently selected by the City of Randleman to provide environmental and brownfields consulting services for the next five years following a qualifications based selection process. The City is actively pursuing properties to develop the Deep River Trail, a walking and riding trail that will border the Deep River. Mid-Atlantic staff will help prepare grant applications for EPA Brownfields Assessment grants and if awarded, Mid-Atlantic staff will conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments at high priority properties within the City. Following the assessments, Mid-Atlantic will provide assistance with cleanup and redevelopment planning and future grant writing opportunities. Mid-Atlantic will also assist with community outreach efforts designed to keep the public informed and involved in building a sustainable Brownfields Program. Mid-Atlantic will partner with The Wooten Company for any redevelopment planning to help build off of their previous successes with the City and the Deep River Trail project. These include designed improvements to the Stout Street Park and preparation of a PARTF application for the Deep River Trail and purchase of the Worthville Road Park property, which included a Deep River Trail Master Plan and a Park System Master Plan.

"Mid-Atlantic Associates has been a valued source of environmental knowledge and guidance for our company for more than 15 years. Their staff is up-to-date on all environmental areas. Concerning regulation and liaison with governmental authorities, they are on a first name basis with departmental heads. This often eliminates most of the "red tape" generally associated with dealing with government agencies. When we need assistance, we always call Mid-Atlantic."
