Laurie Nielsen Highlighted on WTVD-11 for Citizen Led Public Art Project

Laurie Nielsen, wife of Mid-Atlantic Vice President Dan Nielsen, was recently highlighted on WTVD-11 news for a citizen led public art project that she spearheaded.  The project included painting native NC butterflies on concrete sewer manhole risers along a popular greenway in Raleigh. The public art project was developed through the city’s Citizen-Initiated Projects. Laurie, who’s working on getting certified as an environmental educator, wrote the proposal for the project and worked with students from the City of Raleigh teen outreach program – painting more than half a dozen concrete manhole casings along the Ironwood Trail over two days. Dan and their daughter Rita, along with the entire Mid-Atlantic family, are proud of Laurie and these contributions to our community!  Check out this link to see the news article and video news story.

"Mid-Atlantic Associates has been a valued source of environmental knowledge and guidance for our company for more than 15 years. Their staff is up-to-date on all environmental areas. Concerning regulation and liaison with governmental authorities, they are on a first name basis with departmental heads. This often eliminates most of the "red tape" generally associated with dealing with government agencies. When we need assistance, we always call Mid-Atlantic."
