Senior Environmental Engineer in Charlotte Office

Mid-Atlantic Associates, a leading environmental consulting firm in the Southeast, is seeking a seasoned professional engineer to lead our engineering services in our growing Charlotte office.  Ideally, we are looking for the following attributes and experience:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina
  • 7+ years of experience in civil, water resources or environmental engineering
  • Desire to lead the growth of our engineering services in the southeast
  • Experience in industrial or municipal markets
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Strong interpersonal and time management
  • CAD/Microstation experience a plus
  • Ability to clearly convey technical concepts verbally and in writing

Project Manager for Major Petroleum Retailer

Mid-Atlantic Associates is seeking a project to senior level engineer/geologist to assist in managing an account for a large, regional petroleum retailer. Person should be an EIT/PE or GIT/LG and have at least four (4) years of experience in the field of environmental consulting, with specific experience in the assessment and remediation of soil and groundwater impacted by petroleum. Experience working on petroleum UST release sites in North Carolina and familiarity with the North Carolina LUST Trust Fund is required. Candidates must have strong computer skills and data base program use experience. Candidates should have strong organization and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to manage multiple projects in various phases at one time.

EPA Grant Writer/Manager

Mid-Atlantic Associates, a leading Brownfields consultant, is seeking a seasoned environmental professional to write and manage EPA Brownfields grants. Person must be a good writer with a track record of writing successful grant applications for EPA funding. Candidate must also be detail oriented and have a history of successfully managing grant projects. In resume include examples of successful grant applications and grants managed.

Project Level Engineers

Mid-Atlantic Associates is seeking project level engineers to work in our Raleigh and Charlotte offices.  Great opportunities for individuals looking to expand his/her experience and work on a variety of challenging projects with experienced environmental professionals.  Projects will span both the public and private sector. Person should be a North Carolina EIT or PE and have at least four (4) years of experience in the field of environmental consulting. Anticipated duties would serving as project or assistant project manager, performing field activities and report writing on a wide variety of environmental projects. Specific experience in the design of soil, groundwater and vapor mitigation systems and data reduction/analysis of soil gas and indoor air results a plus. Candidates should have strong communication skills (written and verbal) and be willing to work after regular business hours and weekends, as necessary.

Senior Environmental Professional (IAQ)

Mid-Atlantic is seeking a seasoned environmental professional to work in our Raleigh office.  Projects will span both the public and private sector.  Professional should licensed/accredited in NC and have at least ten (10) years of experience in the field of environmental consulting with specific experience in at least one of the following areas: indoor air quality, air permitting, industrial hygiene, health and safety, and vapor intrusion. A great opportunity for an individual to lead and expand the company’s services in these areas.  Candidates should have strong project management skills, communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to think strategically and effectively market and expand the service line.
